Friends, Post BP, we are renewing goal this year of making
Grand Isle a Kayak Friendly Coast Community. We are actively working with the Town of Grand Isle, Grand Isle Port Commission,
BTNEP, Friends of Grand Isle, NOAA and other groups to further projects like the Public Kayak "Put in", a coastal
kayak trail map, and bringing back "RIDE THE BULL" a Kayak Bull Red Catch and Release Tournament. Tidal Water
Access is a basic right of all Louisianans and we are doing everything we can to encourage state and local government
to provide public water access points in the Grand Isle Area. We are also working to promote the economic benefits
of kayaking and kayak fishing in Coastal Louisiana. Please encourage your State elected officials to continue to take
back, restore and create access to the beach fronts and tidal waters in Louisiana for the public use. Louisiana's
Sportsman's Paradise is for all of us to enjoy! We hope to see you fishing in Grand Isle this year!
